Label Maker was designed to ingest some data about outgoing products and then print a custom label for the packaging. The customer has a growing 3D medical printing business which wanted to have a shipping label that represented their high end clients. The data was provided via a file generated by their printing production software.

The challenge of project

The label needed to look different based on who commissioned the print. The label also needed to be easily customized, so Word was used as the editor. All the data was stored in a document-oriented database.

The result of project

Amazing. We haven’t had to update the product in a long time. It just keeps printing along. The infrastructure was very basic, which kept costs and maintenance to a minimum.
